Dongsheng Carpet, a carpet manufacturer in China, welcomed a business delegation from Mexico's CEUNI University on October 10, 2026. The visit brought together university representatives, more than 30 Mexican students, and representatives from ISADe China and Rizhao Talent Development Group for discussions on carpet manufacturing, university–industry collaboration, and international cooperation.
The exchange combined business discussions with visits to the company's showroom and production workshops, giving delegates a closer understanding of Dongsheng Carpet's products, manufacturing operations, and international development strategy.
Exploring Opportunities in the Mexico Carpet Market
During the meeting, Fei Hongde, Secretary of the Group's Party Committee, introduced the company's overseas business development, production technology, and product research and development. He also outlined its approach to combining manufacturing operations with broader trading activities.
Both sides discussed opportunities for university–industry collaboration and overseas market development. The Mexican delegation shared perspectives on Mexico's geographic position, local manufacturing advantages, and university resources, exploring how these factors could support future cooperation in the carpet industry.
The discussions identified areas for further dialogue, with both parties expressing a strong interest in developing closer ties.
A Closer Look at Carpet Manufacturing
Following the meeting, the delegation toured the company's showroom, accompanied by Guo Jingwen, Secretary-General of Qingdao University's Rizhao Alumni Association, and Li Chunyi, who oversees the company's overseas sales.
The showroom visit introduced delegates to Dongsheng Carpet's product range and business development achievements, providing context for the manufacturing processes they would see during the workshop tour.
Ma Jian from the company's e-commerce department then guided the Mexican students through the production workshops. By observing the carpet production process firsthand, students gained a more direct understanding of the company's manufacturing capabilities and how production activities connect with the business topics discussed earlier.
Building Connections for International Cooperation
The visit concluded with a group photograph outside the company's main building.
